The government of Canada introduced a new entry requirement since March 2016 known as Canada eta. Canada eta is the requirement to all citizens who are from the visa-exempt nations who want to travel to Canada by use of air. Since 1st March 2016, all citizens from the countries which are exempt to hold a visa when traveling to Canada as supposed to have Canada eta: https://etacanada.co.uk. The citizens of the US, New Zealand and Australia from the visa-exempt nations and they do not necessarily use eta when traveling to Canada and also the citizens of Canada.
Canada eta is linked with the traveler’s passport electronically and it’s valid from upto 5 years or when a passport gets expired, anything that will come first. When you are having Canada eta, you can travel to Canada as often as you like for a shorter period of stay to a maximum of six months. The information which is in the eta is sent to the Immigration Department of Canada electronically and the sent to your email of Canada eta within fifteen minutes.
The application for Canada is very simple and cheap for you to apply it online. It is through the Canadian government website where you will apply. Many applicants find their Kanada eTA approved within a short time. However, there are some requests which can make the processing take long when asked to submit your supportive document. Therefore, it is good you apply for eta before you book your accommodation of flight to Canada.
When applying for this document you are supposed to make your passport, debit or credit card ready. Once you are through with every process you will pay $7 CAD which is immediately after you have completed the form. The approval will take some minutes then you will receive your Kanada eTA via email and you can print it. At this point, you can travel to Canada anytime you want without filing it until it expires and that is after 5 years.
